Michelle Liu is a high school senior. She is highly passionate about dance, STEM, and improving her community. She demonstrates these passions through her 12+ years of experience in competitive dance under Angel Dance Company, her three consecutive Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Awards, accumulating over 600 hours of service, and the research and internships she has completed. She conducted research on early diagnosis of ADRD and has won awards for her achievements in psychological research. Through her experiences in dance and research, she developed an interest in a niche area: contributing to public and health through evidence-based community initiatives that relate dance to brain health. She has focused on using dance to bring joy to senior retirement homes in her community while also prioritizing education in how dance movements can improve psycho-social well-being and brain health. Aside from these, Michelle has conducted research in mild cognitive impairment status changes, been created business pitch about monitoring tools for Alzheimer's patients, and interned in public office among other related initiatives.

She explores these interests through her biotechnology research and her work in dental settings, where she has examined patient care through both clinical and neurological lenses. With ten years of experience in volleyball and a growing interest in movement-based interventions, Saanvi is especially drawn to the connection between physical activity and cognitive resilience. She aims to translate neuroscience research into accessible, community-based initiatives, particularly for underserved populations.
